The "PLA BEUK" is a big fish up to 3 meters and with a weight up to 300 kg.The fish can be found in the Mekong river. Since a few years, the fish can now be bred.
Once a year, there are still ceremonies in Nan area (north of thailand ) held by Thai and Laos. This fish is still considered as a spirit. So they must ask the permission before fishing it.
